Conference Venue

The conference will take place at the Department of Economics and Management, Santa Chiara Building, Contrada Santa Chiara 50, Brescia. The venue can be reached at walking distance from the Metro stop “San Faustino” or by Bus 17 (stop “Faustino 76”), 10 (stop “Battisti, 7 (stop “Lupi di Toscana”) or 2 (stop “Pusterla”. Welcome Party Venue

The welcome party will take place at the Department of Economics and Management, Via San Faustino 74/B in the San Faustino cloister. The cloister is close to the conference venue. Use the same info above.

Social dinner

The social dinner will take place at Villa Baiana on Thursday 29 May. It will include a tour in a wine making company. Buses will leave at 18.30 from via Leonardo da Vinci, close to the conference venue. Instructions will be provided during the welcome session on 28th May or at the registration desk. The dinner, including the transfer to and from Villa Baiana, are included in the conference fees. The participants will be brought back to their hotel at the end of the dinner. Detail on the menu will be provided at the registration desk.

Post-Conference Tours on Friday 30 May afternoon

On Friday 30 May after the end of the conference from 15.30 on, two optional events will be available for interested delegates upon registration.

The first one is a guided visit to the Santa Giulia Museum, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2011. The Museum includes an extraordinary voyage through the Roman heritage of Brescia. Delegates will get to the museum from the conference venue by a guide by walk, passing through some famous historical squares and especially the Roman Forum. The cost is 15€ per person (minimum number 30 registered participants), which must be paid cash during the registration.

The second one is a guided tour in Sirmione,on the Garda Lake. Sirmione is an extraordinary place full of history, from the “Catullo’s Caves”, where the famous Roman poet Catullus was used to spend vacation, a Roman Villa (first century AD9) and a Scaliger Castle on the lake at the beginning of the village. The tour will include the "La Romantica" boat trip, for an expected duration of 60 minutes, which will provide nice views on famous places of Garda Lake. Participants will have time to walk through the village for shopping and tasting a great ice cream. The cost is 28 Euros per person (minimum number 30 registered participants), which must be paid cash during the registration. Conference delegates will receive a request of registration before the conference, in order to help us organizing the event.
